 CKS BAND
LITTLE FEAT/GREGG ALLMAN BAND GUITARIST
SCOTT SHARRARD. BRUCE KATZ & RANDY CIARLANTE.
7:30PM~FRIDAY, DECEMBER 12

When he's not touring the world playing large halls and festivals as Little Feat' s lead guitarist, Scott Sharrard loves playing more intimate venues with his close, masterful musical friends Bruce Katz and Randy Ciarlante in their CKS Band.

Before becoming a full-time  member of Little Feat, Scott spent more than a decade as the guitarist  and musical director of the Gregg Allman Band.

Keyboard wizard Bruce Katz has performed and recorded with an impressive and long list of musical greats that includes John Hammond, Little Milton, Jimmy Witherspoon and Duke Robillard and Ronnie Earl.

Levon Helm chose drummer extraordinaire Randy Ciarlante to be his 'right hand man' in The Band in from 1990.  Ciarlante followed his decade in The Band by providing the beat, vocals and songs for Jim Weider's band.

Together, CKS members draw on the remarkable material they've had the honor to play with their distinguished former and current band members and serve up smoking originals.

Take Gregg Allman's word on why seeing Scott and CKS will sound so good in Unity Hall;

"I know all about guitar players-I’ve seen the very best-and Scott Sharrard is the perfect guitarist for my band. He understands that you don’t need to play just for the sake of playing; Scott isn’t one of those guys who thinks they get paid by the note. He never steps on the vocals, and he leaves plenty of room for everyone else to do their thing, but when it’s time to solo, Scott delivers, boy.”
