BALLOON TWISTING WITH BIPPY
3PM ~ SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 22
The ageless art of balloon twisting may only have been around since the 1930's, or could date all the way back to ancient Aztecs.
Regardless of its actual origin, the technic of fashioning an ordinary balloon into an array of other objects and creatures has amused and amazed people of all ages for a loooong time.

The process of learning how this is done can be good fun - especially when someone as fun and engaging as Bippy teaches it.

Her Sunday, September 22nd FREE Unity Hall Kids program on stage in our theater provides each child with balloons and guidance on how to transform them into dogs, swords and rocket ships and concludes with Ice Cream Sundaes!

Finding a dinosaur can be accomplished by one person but, getting a dinosaur out of the ground is
always a team effort.
During this free event for kids in grades K-8, Paleontologists Mike and Roberta Straka will explain the different skills that have to come together for a successful paleontological dig.
Kids attending will experience the thrill of digging up a real Triceratops dinosaur bone and then help construct a dinosaur on a large cut-out!
The program features the actual skull of Mr. Nixon, a Triceratops discovered by the presenter's team in 1996.
In addition to learning the characteristics of this dinosaur, they will also be introduced to rare fossils during a hands-on and exciting educational adventure that includes a mini museum showcasing photos and minerals from their actual summer digs in South Dakota!
